World Refugee Day. Warsaw caught my eye
To celebrate the World Refugee Day, we will give the floor to migrants who will guide visitors through the core exhibition of the Museum of Warsaw. As part of the project “Warsaw Caught My Eye”, invited participants will lead an original tour, presenting selected objects from their own perspective, drawing on their individual experiences and cultural backgrounds.
We will listen to Thelma, Patricia, and Irshad. We will discover how the figure of the Warsaw Mermaid can connect distant stories. We will reflect on the character of Warsaw and discuss topics such as the right to safety and the role of artists in advocating for it. We will also look for other inspiring objects—both uniquely Varsovian and universally meaningful.
