The National Museum of Iceland [NMI] in Reykjavik is one of the largest and most important institutions of culture in Iceland, based on nearly 160-year-old tradition and experience. In its collection, the NMI holds approximately 6.5 million photographs which constitute the largest public photography collection in Iceland.
