Room of Postcards

The Museum of Warsaw holds over 9,000 Warsaw postal cards in its collection. The Room of Postcards presents a small excerpt of it. We wish to stir interest in the collection amongst our visitors: Varsavianists – with cards depicting streets, squares, churches and non-existent buildings; artists – with Warsaw as presented in painting and graphic art; historians – with cards illustrating historical events; collectors of postcards – with collectors’ curia; theatre goers – with images of actors. We present advertising cards, lithographed cards, photographs on silk and many others.
