The Museum of Warsaw collection boasts over 300,000 artefacts which witnessed events that constitute Warsaw’s rich history. With their help, since 1936, we have been spinning a tale of what determined the shape and character of today’s Warsaw.

A significant part of our collection is made up of donations—personal items handed over after the war by residents of the capital city. Thus, they wanted to participate in preserving the continuity of their city’s history.

Now you, too, can help preserve precious testimonies and historic accounts for future generations. Together, we can tell the story of who we are, where we come from and what really is the phenomenon of Warsaw.
