Part of the Focus on Photography project, the Centre for Photography has been granted a subsidy of 458 000 EUR from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway within the EEA grants and the Norway Grants, and is financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

The project’s goal is to develop photography audiences of the participating museums by increasing the competence of their staff, conservation, digitisation of the collection and presentation of the museum collections in the form of exhibitions accompanied by educational programs.

Project realised between 1 September 2022 and 30 April 2024.

The project’s outcome will be exhibitions and a series of events—taking place in Warsaw and Reykjavik as well as online—revolving around photography and photo collections. The project will also result in developing new competences of conservation officers from both museums which will allow for improving conservation, management and digitisation of their collections, thereby enriching the institutions’ collections of developed and digitised photographs.
