Byssus. Medicine from rooms of natural history – conference
Byssus cloth, also known as “marine” or “sea silk”, is a rare fabric that is made using the byssus of pen shells as the fiber source. A piece of this unique fabric will become a part of the collection of the Museum of Pharmacy in Warsaw.
Poster competition “Warsaw–Poland–Europe. Transformations after 1989”
This May the Museum of Warsaw began accepting submissions of poster designs which offer artistic and intellectual commentary on the events of 1989 and the ensuing political, economic and social changes in Poland.

The Antonina Leśniewska Museum of Pharmacy, a branch of the Museum of Warsaw, has been nominated for the European Museum of the Year Award. Since 1977 EMYA’s aim has been to recognise excellence and encourage innovation in the European museum scene.

And most importantly, can all these questions be answered with the abstract language of mathematics? Warsaw Data is a new publication of the Museum of Warsaw. It tells the story of the capital using charts, maps and other types of graphic representations. The sale has just begun.
Foreigners on Warsaw 1945–2018. Conference 6–7 December 2018

13 new themed rooms and almost 3500 new things of Warsaw you will be able to see from June 2018 in the Museum of Warsaw in the Old Town Market Square. The opening of the accomplished core exhibition ‘Things of Warsaw’ will be two-day festivities that will take place both inside and outside the museum. We are looking forward to seeing you 9–10 June!
