Room of Photographs
The collection of photographs is the largest collection in the Museum of Warsaw, created over seventy years thanks to purchases and donations. It consists of archives of outstanding photographers, amateur photographs, works by contemporary artists, as well as memorabilia and albums of Warsaw families.
The Room of Photographs is a visual story about Warsaw and photography from the 19th century to the present day. The photographs on display here show Warsaw as observed and “captured” during walks with a camera by both residents and visitors, amateurs and professional photographers.
